Begin To Heal
Begin to Heal
There is nothing funny about having a broken heart. If you are reading this, I am sure you know that. Your stressed body will begin to accumulate all sorts of feelings on top of the depression.
Perhaps you lack positive focus and you are having trouble moving away from looking at the negative, leaving you almost completely unable to function. Instead you need to begin focusing on the positive, begin to visualize what you want in life, and what are your goals and desires are without that other person. This may be difficult to do, because our minds get use to thinking negatively. It is important to try to change this, because “what we think” leads us to “what we feel”.
Consider these 3 steps to healing:
1. Allowing Ourselves to Grieve
When we are grieving we are remembering all the wonderful things that we miss about the one we lost. Then we begin to think about being alone and how can we possibly get by without them? We spend most of our time and energy worrying and feeling guilty because of what we didn’t do, or what we should have done, this makes it very difficult to move on.
During the grieving process we may feel overwhelmed emotionally or we may even feel no emotions at all. It’s important to take some time and space to get use to your new situation but it’s also important not to dwell in negative thoughts.
2. Making a Plan – Healing is a journey that needs a plan. This means that you should write down some positive ways which (you think) will help you – right now! Like taking that first step of getting out and doing something on your own. Focus on the good things that happen each day, what things are you grateful for? Think about them, and keep thinking about them. The more you focus on the positive things in your life, such as happiness, well-being and peace of mind, you will have a foundation for your goals and desires.
3. The Action – Once you have written down some things, make specific plans to act on them soon – and stick to it! Something incredible happens when you do this – you start to attract your goals and desires and your heart will begin to heal.
Suggestions
- Accept that you are responsible for your own healing, and take as much time as you need for yourself.
- Take action when you are inspired, it’s much more motivating. Forgive people and recognize that we take in what we focus on.
This concept may be recognized by some people as the law of attraction. Do not hang around people who make you feel negative or people who complain all the time. Perform any spiritual work that feels right to you, perhaps include affirmations and visualizations. Be grateful.
